I have a 17th level mage who is preparing herself for lichdom.
Here's one of her spells actually the first one she invented.

Conjure Fundamental
School: Conjuration/Summoning
Level:  1
Range:  as Conjure Elemental
Duration: 30 rounds
area of effect: special
Components: as Conjure Elemental
casting time: 2 rounds
Saving throw: none

With this spell the mage brings forth the weakest kind of elemental possible:
the Fundamental(see D&D CREATURE CATALOG). Since it's a weaker version of 
Conjure elemental everything else is the same except that the amount of 
material to conjure the creature with is much less. a Shovel of earth, a 
bucket of water or a decent burning torch would suffice.
